Antminer is the line of ASIC miners from Bitmain, produced since 2013. The letter in the name marks the algorithm: S and T are Bitcoin, L is Litecoin and Dogecoin, KS is Kaspa, AL is Alephium, Z is Zcash, E is Ethereum Classic, D is Dash. Current S21 and S23 machines run from 17.5 down to 9.5 joules per terahash, while the S19 series remains the backbone of the secondary market and still pays off with custom firmware at a low power tariff. The Pro and XP indexes mean a better chip, Hydro and Hyd mean water cooling, and Immersion means the unit is ready for dielectric immersion.
