Quality assurance and service for ASIC miners

Quality assurance and service
We only sell hardware we are confident about. We check every unit: the ASIC goes on our bench, runs under load and leaves for you with the measurement report. If something does go wrong, we repair it ourselves, in Valencia.
In short
- Before shipping we start every ASIC and keep it under load until the board warms up. We look at hashrate, power draw, temperatures and the behaviour of every chip chain, not just whether the miner powers on.
- The measurements travel with the hardware. You see the same numbers we saw and can check them on arrival.
- We repair in house, in our Valencia workshop. You do not have to ship the ASIC to Asia and wait months for an answer.
- We keep the common parts in stock: hashboards, power supplies, control boards, fans and ribbon cables. We match them by revision, not by model name.
- After the sale we help with first start, networking, pools and firmware. Message us on Telegram; the common cases are covered on our YouTube channel.
- We keep prices at market level and explain what makes them up. Find it cheaper at a European seller, send us the link and we will look at it.
What happens to an ASIC before it ships
A miner is not a household appliance where a fault shows up as you unbox it. A board can start, run for ten minutes and fall apart once the substrate is hot. So a short test does not count as testing here: the ASIC has to run long enough to heat up and show what it really is.
- Visual inspectionSeals, traces of moisture and corrosion, condition of the heatsinks and connectors. Everything visible before power goes on.
- Bench startA verified power supply and a control board we know. That shows straight away whether the problem sits in the miner or in what surrounds it.
- Run under loadThe ASIC runs until the board reaches its working temperature and holds there. This is the stage where most hidden faults come out.
- MeasurementsHashrate, power at the socket, board and chip temperatures, fan speeds, errors in the log.
- Chain checkWe look at every domain on every board. A dead group of chips shows in the log; a cold section is caught by the thermal camera.
- Packing and reportWe keep the measurements and hand them to you. The box gets the same unit that stood on the bench.
An ASIC that fails testing does not go to the buyer. It stays in the workshop and we either repair it or strip it for donor parts. Shipping a miner with a fault we already know about and hoping nobody notices is not the cheaper path: return logistics and warranty repair cost more than rejecting it honestly.
Unbox and start the ASIC as soon as you can, then compare hashrate and power draw against the report. A gap of more than a few per cent is a reason to write to us that day, not a month later. How to receive the parcel and what to do about a damaged box is on the payment and shipping page.
Workshop in Valencia
The service is ours, not a partner's. That changes the thing that matters: turnaround depends on our own workload, not on a queue in someone else's city and not on the flight schedule to China.
What we work with: a test bench with a verified control board and power supply, a thermal camera, a soldering station with bottom preheat and hot air. A hashboard is multilayer with a massive heat spreader, and without even heating you cannot lift a chip off without tearing the pads next to it. A household heat gun will not do it.
What we repair
- Hashboards: chip replacement, power stage repair, track and via recovery, reballing of the pads, cleaning after moisture.
- Power supplies: fan, input circuits, fuses, swollen capacitors, output connectors.
- Control boards: power rails, memory, connectors. Boards on Amlogic chips have their own UART unlock procedure.
- Mechanics: fans, ribbon cables, connectors, fixings. We almost always replace these rather than restore them, they are too cheap to risk a second failure.
Turnaround
- DiagnosisOne to several working days
- Typical hashboard repairSeveral days
- Rare revision or scarce chipThe longest, we quote a date after diagnosis
After any repair the ASIC goes back under load and gets measured again. Handing over a freshly soldered miner is not on: some faults only appear on a hot board, a few hours in.
There are things we will not take on. A board with burnt substrate, a board that sat wet for a long time, a board with pads torn off under several chips becomes a donor. We will say so plainly and offer a replacement part instead of billing you for a hopeless repair.
Count it as a share of the part price. While a hashboard repair costs a noticeable but not decisive slice of a new one, it pays off. As soon as the bill approaches the price of a new board, or of the same ASIC on the second-hand market, we say so before starting work. Warranty and paid repair terms are set out on the returns and exchanges page.
Spare parts and components
A spare part is chosen by model plus revision plus chip version. The model name alone is not enough: parts from neighbouring runs of one series look identical and are not interchangeable. Almost every failed order comes from exactly that, so we ask for a photo of the marking on the substrate, not just the model from the sticker on the case.
- HashboardsTied to the miner by chip type and count, domain layout, cable pinout and the calibration data in the board memory.
- Power suppliesWe look at wattage with 15 to 20 per cent headroom over draw, connectors, input voltage range and efficiency class.
- Control boardsIncluding Amlogic boards, which need unlocking before third-party firmware goes on.
- Fans and mechanicsFans, ribbon cables, connectors, fixings and thermal interface material.
Keep the board set inside one miner uniform. Mixed revisions give different temperatures and different responses to overclocking, and it shows most clearly in firmware profiles. If you are replacing one board out of three, tell us the model and revision of the others and we will match it.
Model and serial number, a photo of the board marking, a screenshot of the status page and the chunk of log with the error. That is enough to name the part without three days of email.
Support and setup
The sale is not the end of it. Most questions after a purchase are not faults but setup: the ASIC is not visible on the network, will not connect to the pool, is louder than expected, runs hot in a small room. Those get sorted in writing in an evening, with the miner staying exactly where it is.
- First start: network, web panel access, password change, checking the supply and the earth.
- Pools: addresses, workers, what to watch in the statistics and why pool-side hashrate dances around the nominal figure.
- AsicBoost firmware: installation, rollback to stock, and what the profiles do. DevFee is 2.8 per cent, and we quote that figure before the purchase, not after.
- Overclocking and undervolting: where the real headroom is and where the risk to the board and to the manufacturer warranty starts.
- Cooling and electrics: ventilation sizing, breakers, cable cross-section, and why a voltage sag kills power supplies faster than age does.
What we do not promise
- We do not guarantee any particular profitability. It depends on the coin price, network difficulty and your electricity rate, not on us.
- We do not recommend overclocking beyond the regimes after which the manufacturer withdraws the warranty, however hard you ask.
- We do not go into your hardware remotely without your request and without access you granted deliberately.
Telegram is quickest: t.me/asic_es, we answer during working hours. Common errors and firmware installation are filmed on our YouTube channel: sometimes three minutes of video beats describing a symptom in words.
Price
An ASIC price rests on the coin rate and network difficulty, so it moves more often than we would like. We do not pretend our tag is carved in stone, and we do not hide surcharges in the small print.
- The price shows everything: hardware, shipping and tax. What applies in your case is set out on the payment and shipping page.
- Found it lower at a European seller with real stock and a warranty? Send the link. We will look and either move our price or tell you frankly why we cannot: for instance, that listing is a pre-order with no date, or a sale with no service in the EU.
- Second-hand hardware we value at the market price on the day of the deal, taking condition and wear into account. How that works for returns and exchanges is on its own page.
That promise is easy to make and impossible to keep in a market where quotes move several times a day. Instead we give what we actually control: tested hardware, our own workshop and parts on the shelf. An ASIC a couple of per cent cheaper, but with no warranty repair inside Europe, costs more the first time it breaks.
Get in touch
Ask before you buy, not after. We will suggest the model that fits your electrics and your room, work out the power draw and tell you plainly if the miner you picked is wrong for your conditions.
